Summary: Part of Crystal, the International Academy has operated ski and snowboard instructor training courses in various world class resorts including Whistler, Banff / Lake Louise and Cardrona (NZ) since 1997.
The courses are run in partnership with the resident snow schools and through a first class instructor training programme you have the opportunity to gain recognised CSIA, CASI and NZSIA instructor qualifications. Many people who have completed an International Academy course have gained employment at the resort where they trained, putting into practice all the relevant skills and experience they acquired having been part of the snow school set up for up to 12 weeks. Other delegates have used their qualifications to gain employment at other resorts as there remains huge demand for ski and snowboard instructors the world over. The International Academy can also provide successful delegates seasonal resort work for Crystal Holidays (with the type of work offered subject to age / interview).
Courses are ideally suited to people looking for a gap year, career break, new direction in life, or those simply wanting to spend a worthwhile season out! Course prices do vary but the package includes flights, transfers, accommodation, meals, season pass, instructor training, examination fee, and additional courses in first aid and avalanche awareness.
