Non Stop Ski
Organisation Summary:
NONSTOPSKI is a family run business offering you the opportunity of a lifetime. Regardless of the next steps in either your career or your education, NONSTOPSKI offers you a truly unforgettable rocky mountain experience.
Spending nearly 3 months in the town of Fernie, British Columbia (a scenic 3 hours drive South West of Calgary in the heart of the Canadian Rockies). With intensive ski or snowboarding instruction 5 days a week, and the weekends left free to practice! You will have the opportunity to gain internationally recognised ski and snowboard instructor qualifications (CSIA, CASI). Having spoken to many people who have taken part in similar courses, we believe that in this programme, we have successfully combined safety, education, culture and serious fun.

However, NONSTOPSKI is not just about skiing. The package is designed to include a host of opportunities to equip you with all the necessary cultural, social and professional experience to work in the highly competitive ski industry. From mountain safety and avalanche awareness courses, winter first-aid qualifications and ski trips to other resorts in western Canada, to foreign languages, cookery, photography and TEFL classes, our aim is that you leave Fernie as a qualified instructor and a whole lot more.
NONSTOPSKI is not offering you an easy 3 months ski holiday! Intensive instruction from top ski and boarding instructors five days a week and so many other activities and opportunities, will make your stay in Fernie challenging and hard work, but ultimately one of the most rewarding experiences of your life.

Gap Year Case Study:
Hermione Enfield (20), Ski Instructor Course, Canada
Ever since I can remember I have always wanted to spend a winter season in a ski resort but I was conscious that the purpose of doing this was to become an excellent skier, rather than work all day, party all night and ski on my one day off a week.
I first heard of Nonstopski when they came to a careers fair at my school and I was immediately impressed by what they were offering, which was essentially a chance to spend a season in the Canadian Rockies training to become a ski/snowboard instructor. Was this the perfect way to spend a season….? I'd have coaching 5 days a week and come away with an internationally recognised instructor qualification (that would brighten my C.V up!) and meet lots of new people who, like me, loved the mountains!
