GAP
SPORTS offer a wide range of career break opportunities,
including sports coaching and community development
placements; professional sports development programmes
at international golf, rugby, cricket and football acadamies,
top level ski/snowboard instructor courses and scuba
diving courses.
Volunteer
placements are both sports and non-sports. They include:
- Coaching
football, rugby, cricket, hockey, tennis, golf, netball,
basketball, boxing and swimming.
- Teaching,
medical, art & design, conservation, journalism,
physiotherapy, psychology, care work & building.
There
are also specialist volunteer placements including sports
psychology, physiotherapy and football development.
Snow
placements are for both novice and intermediate
skiers and snowboarders. If you want to work as an instructor,
a GAP SPORTS snow placement will ensure you get the
internationally-recognised qualifications you need,
plus real work experience, in a vast array of terrain.

Water
placements are for those who want to sharpen
their scuba skills. GAP SPORTS offer PADI courses that
enable you to gain the necessary training and international
qualifications to enjoy recreational diving or to seek
employment in dive schools worldwide. The WATER placements
are based in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, a beautiful
location for scuba-diving.

Prices
include full 24-hour in-country support, plus a number
of unique pre-departure and post-trip inclusions, such
as fund-raising advice, reunions, references, etc. Food
and accommodation throughout your placement is included,
as are a number of social events and excursions.
